From their base on the island of Crete, the Atlantians begin to rapidly expand their once small trading colonies.  The Atlantian fleet establishes and maintains naval supremacy.

Tales of strange powers amongst the people of Atlantis become common.

The Atlantians begin to cooperate with barbarians (pastoral Humans) to weaken Human civilizations.

Treatment of the Sundered Dwarf population on island of Atlantis becomes oppressive.

Hittites unite into a single tribe and with Atlantian assistance attack Babylon.

Chariot and composite bow using nomads begin to sweep across Eurasia.

In Babylon geometry is used for astronomical purposes, signs of the Zodiac known, basic magecraft begins to develop.

Many Sundered Dwarves leave Atlantis settling in western Europa.  Relations break down to the point where the last Dwarves are expelled by the Atlantians.

The Hyksos kingdom of Egypt becomes dominated by its Atlantian advisors.

Atlantians begin conquest of the newborn kingdoms in Achaea, the Iberian and Italian peninsulas, North Africa and the Middle East west of Babylonia.

Rumors persist of Atlantian colonies in distant regions of the world.

Hariasit and Kassite nomads begin to attack Babylonia.

2300 BI

Fall of Atlantis

The Atlantian Empire assembles a vast army for the final conquest of Babylonia, the only rival to its power.  After the army crosses the Jordan river, with Atlantis on the verge of world conquest, the island sinks into the sea.  Resulting tidal waves damage or destroy many of the Atlantian colonies.

Asmosis I drives out Hyksos and Atlantians, establishes the New Kingdom in Egypt.

Atlantian and nomad armies lay siege to Babylon and are defeated.

Cecrops becomes king of Attica.

The Israelites, led by Moses, leave their captivity in Egypt and reach Canaan.

The Phoenicians, descendants of the Atlantians, begin to establish trade colonies.

Olympian Immortals become very active in worldly affairs.

The Fleets of Crete, once an Atlantian colony, rule the waves.

Time of great heroes in the Aegean region, many are descended from Perseus and/or Zeus; include Orpheus, Jason, Medea, Theseus and Heracles.

Immortal and Human foibles lead to the Trojan War.  Most of the remaining great heroes are killed during (Hector, Achilles) or immediately after (Agamemnon) this conflict.  A few, like Odysseus, face great hardship, but survive.

Humans widely believed to be descendants of the refugees from the Dwarf – Elf and Goblinkin Wars begin to migrate out of the Caucuses region into western Europa.  They reestablish Human contact with the Dwarven kingdoms and Elven enclaves and encounter the Sundered Dwarves.  Contact ultimately leads to widespread use of iron and steel (though bronze will still be used by Humans for several centuries).  These refugees consist of two main groups; the Celts, believed by many to have been allied with the Elves during the wars, who settle in central Europa, and the Teutons, allies of the Dwarves, who settle in Scandinavia.

While divine remains the dominant form of magic amongst Humans, arcane magic is widely known and powerful wizards and sorcerers (of Human blood) are said to exist.

Babylon is the greatest center of Human magical knowledge, but magecraft is practiced by the Celts, Assyrians, Egyptians, Achaeans, Persians and Phoenicians.  Rumors exist of magic practiced by the Israelites, but its practice is discouraged by the religious authorities. 

Celts are said to be masters of Illusion and Enchantment, the Babylonians Divination.  Assyrians have begun to develop advancements in Evocation.  Basic Abjuration, Conjuration and Transmutation and Elemental (in Persia and Middle East) magic are also practiced.

1450 – 1405 BI

Assyrian emperor Sennacherib destroys Babylon; water is diverted to cover the ruins of the city.

A Babylonian led alliance is formed, with the help of the Scythians (horse riders from central Eurasia) and a large number of Wizards, Sorcerers and Priests from the destroyed cities.

Nineveh, the Assyrian capital, is captured and destroyed (1412 BI).

Loss of Nineveh cripples the empire and Assyrian empire disappears by 1405 BI.

Nineveh’s destruction results in the disappearance of much Evocation lore.

Babylonian conquest of Israel leads to destruction of Jerusalem and beginning of Israelite captivity.

Elven makaher (foolish) enclaves, located on the Italian peninsula, Aegean coast, Dalmatian islands and the area of Thrace, establish contact with “unusually civilized Humans” amongst the Etruscans, Athenians and other city states.  Like minded Elves in the Trylikon and Derynaltar enclaves open communication with certain Persians.
